NECCCommunity Church

About Us

A community of ordinary people discovering an extraordinary God — together, in Norwalk and beyond.

Our mission

We exist to restore lives through the love and life-giving message of Jesus Christ.

Restoration is the thread that runs through everything we do. We have seen God restore marriages, friendships, purpose, health and hope — and we believe He is not finished yet.

Northeast Community Church (NECC) is a non-denominational, evangelical Protestant church located at 185 East Ave in Norwalk, Connecticut. Our church family includes people from Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich and across Fairfield County and New York. We are young professionals and retirees, lifelong believers and brand-new seekers, families with toddlers and empty-nesters. What unites us is not a style or a background but a person: Jesus.

Core values

What shapes the way we live

Six convictions that guide our decisions, our gatherings and our life together.

Biblical

Scripture is our final authority. We teach the Bible clearly and practically so it can be lived out Monday through Saturday.

Authentic

No one has it all together. We value honesty over image and create space for real questions, real struggles and real growth.

Community

Faith grows best in relationship. LifeGroups are the heart of our church — the place where we know and are known.

Missional

The church is not a building we attend but a people who are sent. We love our neighbors locally and globally.

Empowering

Everyone has gifts that matter. We equip people to lead, serve and use their story to bless others.

Generational

We invest deeply in kids and students, because the faith of the next generation shapes the future of our community.

Our story

Rooted in Norwalk, reaching the world

For well over a decade, NECC has been a spiritual home on Norwalk’s east side. From the beginning our vision has been simple: help people find and follow Jesus, and let that relationship overflow into love for our city.

  1. THE BEGINNING

    A church for the northeast

A small group of believers began meeting with a dream of a church that felt like family — Bible-centered, relaxed and open to everyone.

  2. 2010

Haiti and a heart for the nations

After the January 12, 2010 earthquake devastated Haiti, NECC teams travelled to Jacmel to help rebuild schools, churches and homes, support medical clinics and a feeding program, and sponsor children.

  3. GROWING DEEPER

    LifeGroups across Fairfield County

Groups multiplied into living rooms from Old Greenwich and Westport to Wilton and Fairfield, plus an online group for people who can’t travel.

  4. LOCAL PARTNERS

    Restoring our own community

We began serving alongside FCA, the Center for Family Justice, Circle of Care and Bridgeport Rescue Mission — meeting real needs right here at home.

  5. TODAY

One church, in person and online

Every Sunday at 10:30am we gather at 185 East Ave and online, with KidsLife, StudentLife and a growing family of volunteers.
